Peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians are stalemated on what to do about the 3.7 million Palestinian refugees (1.4 million in Jordan, 800,000 in Gaza, 570,000 in the West Bank and 370,000 in Lebanon and Syria.) Palestinians insist that a peace deal allow the refugees (mainly the descendents of the original 750,000 Palestinian who fled present day Israel in 1948) to return to present day Israel and get their property back. Israel refuses, knowing that Jews would become a minority in Israel if this happened.
