In recognition that Iran is allowing Islamic radicals to freely pass through it's territory into Iran, all but three of the 19 official border crossings from Iran and Iraq will be closed. The number of security personnel on the Iranian border will double again to 16,000 and more UAVs and electronic gear will be used to watch for smugglers, and those just using the ancient smugglers routes. More equipment will be used on the three remaining crossings to record all those coming through. The Islamic conservatives that control the Iranian government deny that they are supporting al Qaeda, but their actions indicate otherwise. Syria has also been warned to stop allowing Islamic radicals to transit through its territory into Iraq. Many Arab countries are content to look the other way and let their Islamic radicals go to Iraq, where most of them will be killed by the American soldiers or Iraqi police.
