The fall of Kabul, and most of Afghanistan, to the Northern Alliance, has greatly decreased enthusiasm for anti-US protests. Today's demonstrations attracted less than one percent of the people who turned out a week ago. The protesters say they will continue demonstrating, but they will be doing it with hundreds of people rather than tens of thousands.
