Sporadic, "low level" attacks continue in Kosovo. Usually the violence is directed at ethnic rivals (ie, Kosovar Albanian radicals attacking Kosovar Serbs, or vice versa). The UNMIK officer was shot while riding in a marked UN police vehicle on the road between Leposavic and Mitrovica (north of Pristina)
