The U.S. Navy is buying 337 more JSOW missiles, for about $240,000 each. JSOW got it's first combat test in Iraq in 1999 and has been used there several times enforcing the no-fly zones. The U.S. Air Force will get 24 of the missiles. Most JSOWs carry submunitions, have a range of about 50 kilometers and, like JDAM, uses GPS for guidance.
