One of the little discussed terrorist havens is Cyprus. Divided since 1974 when Greek violence and a Turkish invasion created separate nations, white collar criminal activity has become a major part of the economy. Money laundering, smuggling and the brokering of all sorts of illegal deals (gunrunning, drug deals and espionage.) While there is no popular support for terrorists in either part of Cyprus (Turkish Cypriots control 40 percent of the Island, Greek Cypriots the rest), everything is for sale and terrorists with money still come to Cyprus to buy what they need.
