The United States is pressuring Sudan to cooperate in capturing the leader of the LRA. The U.S. got Sudan to agree to arrest the LRA leader, Joseph Kony, by today, but that did not happen. Kony has been hiding out in southern Sudan, leading occasional raids into Uganda. Kony has earned the protection of the Sudanese government by helping in the fight against Sudanese rebels.
