Uganda admits is has sent two new infantry battalions into the DRCs Ituri region. One battalion of 750 men deployed in the town of Mutwanga on November 7. That makes three battalions in the northeastern DRC. The latest figure for the number of Ugandan troops in Bunia is 1000 infantrymen. At first, it appeared that the unit in Bunia was a reinforced battalion task force, beefed with communications, engineers, and medical troops, and that looks to be the case.
