Uganda and Sudan are cooperating more closely in counter-LRA operations than earlier reports indicated. Sudan announced that Uganda could continue its anti-LRA operations at least until April 2. Ugandan Army sources reported that LRA rebel units were now attacking Sudanese Army units in south Sudan. Approximately 100 LRA rebels hit two small Sudanese camps at Nisitu and Jabeleni. A subsequent report said a Ugandan Army liaison officer working with one of the Sudanese Army units died from exhaustion after fleeing an attack by LRA rebels. The officer ran on foot for a long distance then collapsed, apparently from a heart attack.
