An NGO accused the Sudanese government  of conducting massive arbitrary arrests in Sudan. The NGO (Amnesty International) said that many of the arrests were taking place in the Darfur region. The Fur and Zaghawa ethnic groups have been particular government targets, Amnesty reported. The Amnesty report is in line with several other sources that say Sudanese forces are building up in Darfur and police are cracking down on the tribes.
