The Sudanese government (Khartoum) and the SPLA are talking again in Nairobi, Kenya. This time there are very specific discussions about Sudans Blue Nile state, South Kordofan (Nuba Mountain region), and Abyei. At the moment the government controls roughly 80 to 90 percent of these regions, but the SPLA is active in them. In any peace agreement, the SPLA wants these areas to be given more political autonomy.
