The SPLA accused the Sudanese government (Khartoum) of kidnapping a Kenyan aid worker and two Sudanese aides in the town of Nyamlel (Bahr el-Ghazal state). The SPLA statement said government forces carried out the raid on the town, but were also supported by a pro-government militia called the Murahallin. This particular militia group is reported to operate as a horse-mounted force.
