Sudanese government (Khartoum) aircraft bombed targets in and around the town of Raga. Catholic Church sources (through Nairobi, Kenya) said ten civilians were killed in the airstrikes. In one of the raids on Raga the Sudanese bomber (no description of the aircraft provided, but it was probably an Antonov transport) was described as flying low to identify its target area. The plane then turned back over the city and bombed what was described as the civilian section of the town. The plane dropped from seven to nine bombs. Based on the strike description, this looks like an air raid intended to terrorize civilians.
