In southwest Somalia, near the Kenyan border, clan fighting left several dozen people dead. Thousands of people have fled across the border into Kenya. The clans are fighting over a town that controls the truck route between Kenya and Somalia. Whoever controls the border crossing can demand fees from trucks crossing the border.
