Burundi's two main Hutu rebel movements have started fighting each other. Thousands of civilians from Bujumbura Rural Province fled fighting that erupted between FNL and FDD rebels. The two rebel groups are also fighting each other in the northwestern province of Bubanza, a region repeatedly cursed by fighting between the army and rebel groups. The FNL has admitted losing nine fighters and claimed an unknown number of FDD killed. The Tutsi-dominated army has no clue why the two Hutu groups are fighting each other. The FNL claims that the FDD and the army plan to gang up on them. - Adam Geibel
