Burundi reports continued fighting north of Bujumbura. 5000 civilians have fled a series of firefights between the Burundi army and the FDD that began on December 24. A subsequent report said the Burundi Army was using heavy artillery (a term that seems to mean tube artillery of any kind, instead of mortars) against the FDD units.
