In Chechnya, a female suicide bomber set off her explosives near a mosque during a religious celebration. She was trying to get close to the pro-Russian Chechen who runs the province. The explosion killed 14 people. The increasing use of suicide bombers indicates that the rebels have less military capability, and that religious extremists are making up a larger proportion of the surviving rebels.
