Another one bites the dust in Chechnya. Around 17.00 on 3 November, a Russian Mi-8 helicopter was downed by a rebel missile fired from an abandoned five-story building on the outskirts of Grozny. The helicopter had just taken off from an airfield near Khankala and immediately crashed, killing the three crew and six passengers. Troops sealed off the area and killed two guerrillas, but whether those responsible for the shooting had been captured was unclear. - Adam Geibel
