 In the last 24 hours, police have found several explosive devices around the capital, although some may belong to gangsters, not terrorists. Meanwhile, in the south, ground troops reached the remote area where the air force had earlier bombed camps where meetings between Abu Sayyaf and Jemaah Islamiah leaders were taking place, killing several dozen people. For over a year, police have been searching for Jemaah Islamiah camps and personnel in the southern Philippines. This attack indicates that intelligence on terrorist operations has gotten much better.
