  The insurrection of some 300 army and navy troops came to an end, as the mutineers surrendered without a shot being fired. The insurrection called for popular protest against corruption in the government and the military, but no one else showed up. The surrender negotiations involved mutineer demands that some senior military intelligence officials surrender.
