MILF rebels stopped a bus in the south, outside the town of Pikit. Two soldiers on the bus were killed when they tried to stop the rebels. Fifty passengers were taken prisoner, but released later in the day.
Even though the MILF leadership is denying participation in recent bombings and attacks on the electrical power system, the government is looking for more MILF suspects who are believed to be have been involved with these cases.
