Police broke up an explosives supply operation that was providing bomb making materials to Islamic radicals throughout the region. Police seized over a ton of explosives, 300 detonators and 17 M-16 rifles in the southern Philippines. Several people are in custody, including an Indonesian man. Interrogations are continuing. MILF rebels agreed not to attack American troops arriving to provide training. The ceasefire has been broken several times by MILF units.
