As troops search the southern Philippines for armed followers of renegade Moslem leader Nur Misuari found and killed three of them. Weapons were recovered. Local villagers also caught one of the Misuari rebels and killed him. The 200 Misuari rebels who got safe passage to a rural camp are now surrounded by troops. Negotiations are under way to get them to surrender. Misuari has been condemned by the Moslem rebel movement he used to lead and voted out of his political post by locals.
