MILF rebels violated the ceasefire again by firing mortar shells at a southern town. The army responded with a helicopter gunship. The MILF and the government have agreed to deal with these violations one at a time as they are usually the result of undisciplined rebel commanders acting on their own. But the inability to control these freebooters is becoming a problem, especially as it is becoming known how many of these freelancers are out there. Also in the south, three died when a bomb went off in a southern bus terminal.
