Nigeria and Cameroon have signed an agreement to settle the dispute over ownership of 1,000 square kilometers of land on their border. Cameroon has also released 165 Nigerians it had arrested over the last year for trespassing in the disputed territory.

The legislature continues the process to remove the president. This impeachment movement arises largely out of the inability of the Nigerian political process to do anything effective to deal with the corruption and mismanagement that cripples the national economy.
