Police in the northern, mainly Moslem, city of Kano, said that the Islamic vigilante group, Hisbah, would be arrested if they continued using force to enforce Islamic (Sharia) law. The Hisbah organization denies that it is using violence. But Hisbah has been loudly and energetically preaching vigorous action against lax Moslems and non-believers.
