Indian intelligence organizations are escorting Nepalese Maoist leaders to discussions with communist Indian politicians inside India. The exact nature of the discussions is unknown, but apparently has to do with backing a more moderate faction of the Nepalese Maoists. India has declared the Napalese Maoists to be terrorists, which they are. But Indian leftists would like to see a leftist, but not Maoist, government in Nepal. A more moderate brand of Maoist might do. But officially, the Indian government still backs the Nepalese king, sort of. Sometimes.
