The army and police continue to hunt down rebel camps in the countryside, while convincing India to crack down on rebel bases in, and smuggling of weapons and supplies, out of India. The Nepalese government is still deadlocked between royalists and pro-parliament parties. Until that can be resolved, more negotiations with the rebels are unlikely. In any event, the rebels also have two factions; one demanding a socialist dictatorship, the other willing to participate in a multi-party democracy.
