Reunification has become a major, and very popular, "movement" in South Korea. Millions of people, mainly younger ones, believe reunification can just happen, and it's just the United States is standing in the way. The reunification group is large enough that politicians have to pay attention. It's a largely emotional thing, so logic or reality has no effect on it.
