: 10.0pt"> The death toll from over two years of conflict stands at 2,784 (2,054 Palestinian, 681 Israeli.) There are over 20,000 injured. Meanwhile, the Israelis keep refining their counter-terrorism techniques. The most frequently used tactic is the raid, to arrest suspects and/or destroy support facilities (bomb factories, staging areas for suicide attacks, weapons storage sites, etc.) The raids are undertaken by undercover (Arab speaking) commandos or soldiers (who rush in using jeeps, or armored vehicles, depending on the type of resistance anticipated.) The raids appear to be well planned and rehearsed, for few result in ambush or major battles inside Palestinian towns. The Palestinians are still trying to make terrorist attacks, but their capabilities appear to be getting picked apart by the Israeli operations.
