The violence continues and peace talks have not started. Public opinion surveys indicate more Palestinians are getting tired of the 16 month old "war." Last month, 18 percent of Palestinians wanted the terrorism to stop. This month it was 29 percent. Most Israelis are also in favor of peace talks, but only if the violence stops. Palestinian extremists show no signs of stopping their attacks, although Israel is security forces are becoming more effective at stopping attacks and killing terror group leaders and key operatives (like bomb makers.) Since September 2000, 982 have been killed (771 Palestinians and 189 Israelis)
