A small civilian aircraft flying from Lebanon along the coast tried to enter Israeli air space and was shot down after being followed by Israeli aircraft. The lone pilot would not respond to visual or radio signals. There was no explosion when the plane crashed, so it was apparently not carrying a bomb. The plane took off with a student pilot on board, leaving the instructor behind. The pilot was said to have mental problems.
