The death toll so far has reached 477.  On the Lebanese border, Israeli troops fired machine-guns over the heads of a bus load of Lebanese coming to a border crossing. The Lebanese come to the border to throw stones at Israeli soldiers. Violence continued in Gaza and on the West Bank. An attack on a Palestinian leader was foiled when a bomb was detected in a car used by a Palestinian leader. The car was moved to an isolated area and the bomb detonated.
