  A Palestinian bomb exploded outside the Jewish settlement of Kfar Darom in Gaza, hitting a school bus, killing two adults and wounding five children. Israel retaliated within hours with a helicopter gunships firing dozens of missiles at Palestinian targets, wounding some sixty people. For the first time, Israeli missile boats off the coast of Gaza also fired missiles. All this caused quite an uproar in neighboring Arab nations, who see the Israeli attack as disproportionate.
