Hezbollah continued to destroy abandoned Israeli fortifications in south Lebanon. More difficult to destroy are the thousands of mines the Israelis left behind. The Israelis had planned to life their mines before they left. But the disintegration of the SLA militia speeded up the Israeli departure and the mines remain. Today, two were killed and six injured by some of these mines. More casualties can be expected until the Israeli mines are cleared. On the border, Lebanese came to the fence and threw rocks. Two were injured as Israeli soldiers fired to make the rock throwers back off.
