Marines and Iraqi troops have been fighting anti-government fighters in the outskirts of Fallujah. The battles have been one sided, with today's action leaving twenty anti-government gunmen dead. The operations appear to seek out buildings where the gunmen are concentrated, drop a smart bomb on it, then go in a arrest any survivors and question them. With the Iraqi police and soldiers involved, it's also possible to contact locals who are willing to provide information about the anti-government gunmen. This leads to more raids, and more smart bombs. These careful tactics, which avoid civilian casualties, are wiping out the anti-government groups, while encouraging pro-government Sunni Arabs in the area.
