A car bomb went off outside a Baghdad police station, killing nine and wounding over 60. The interim government, seeing much of this terrorism coming out of Fallujah, also gave the United States permission to drop smart bombs on known terrorist hideouts in Fallujah. The U.S. has developed a network of informers inside Fallujah, and is able to find the houses that the terrorist and anti-government groups are using to house their fighters and store their weapons and explosives. As a result, some of these bombing attacks cause larger secondary explosions as the ammunition and bomb making materials  go off.
