Six bombs went off in the northern city of Kirkuk, but there were no American casualties.

About 100,000 Iraqis are being hired to remove trash and rubble throughout the country. The workers will received two dollars a day, with supervisors getting $2.50. This project is temporary, and is intended to clean the place up and put a dent in the massive unemployment.
