Despite the peace agreement signed between Iraq and Kuwait, most Kuwaitis still do not trust Iraq. In fact, most Kuwaitis are angry at their government for signing the deal, especially since Iraq has never done anything about 500 Kuwaitis missing since the 1991 war, and Iraq's refusal to return items looted from Kuwaiti museums. Meanwhile, OPEC officially rejected Iraqi calls for an oil embargo to force oil buying nations to force Israel to make peace with Palestinians on Palestinian terms.
