At an Arab summit meeting in Lebanon, Iraq made peace with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Iraq signed an agreement to renounce its claims on Kuwait. Many are skeptical of this Iraqi move, as Iraq has broken it's agreements many times in the past. The Iraqi action is seen as a part of a strategy to avoid an American invasion. If Kuwait and Saudi Arabia do not support such an invasion, it will have to be launched from Turkey. That is possible, but the Turks are not enthusiastic about it.
