 In the Malukus, police arrested seven men and charged them with separatist activities. Christians, the majority in the Malukus, staged a separatist rebellion with mainly Moslem Indonesia was formed in 1950. That rebellion was put down, but now Islamic radical abuse of Christians is making separatism popular with Christians again.
