US and British intelligence agencies warn that Islamic radicals are planning more attacks against foreigners in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the government is rounding up suspected Islamic radicals, and is encountering resistance. The radicals are a small minority, but in absolute numbers it amounts to thousands of young men. Abu Bakar Bashir is under police guard in a hospital, which is increasingly surrounded by Bashir's young followers. The US says it has evidence that Bashir and his Islamic radicals were behind earlier bombings and other political violence in Indonesia. The government is now going after Islamic radicals, but not with a lot of speed or urgency.
