President Abdurrahman Wahid clarified his transfer of power to his vice president Megawati Sukarnoputri. Wahid is retaining ultimate authority and is only turning over authority for day to day domestic affairs. These have been the matters that Wahid has had the most trouble with. In Aceh, two more rebels were killed when they attacked a police station.
