In Indian controlled Kashmir, three teenage boys killed by soldiers, who mistook them for Islamic terrorists in the dark. The boys were Moslems, and this led to wider unrest and protest in Kashmir. 

In eastern India, a battles between  Maoist factions left six Maoist rebels dead over the last two days.
