India-Pakistan: July 16, 2005

Archives

In Kashmir, a major attempt by Islamic terrorists to sneak across the border resulted in 21 terrorists, two soldiers and two civilians being killed in a series of gun battles. India says some 2,000 Islamic terrorists are camped out on the Pakistan side of the Kashmiri border, waiting for an opportunity (bad weather, mostly) to try and cross. India demands that Pakistan send police to remove the Islamic terrorists, but Pakistan looks the other way and says the terrorists are not there.

In western Pakistan ( North Waziristan), troops encountered seventeen foreign terrorists and a battle ensued. The dead included 15 women and children, two adult men and a soldier. Four terrorists from  Central Asia, and twelve local supporters, were arrested.
