Pakistan believes that it has killed or captured most of the leaders, and key operators, in the group of Islamic radicals that have been carrying out bombings and killings in Pakistan over the past three years. It is believed that only one or two key terrorists still remain at large. This very complete roll up of a terrorist operation came about because many of those captured decided to talk, and that led to many more arrests. Some of those arrested were al Qaeda, but most were Pakistani Islamic radicals that cooperated with al Qaeda, but did not consider themselves part of the organization. There are still thousands of Islamic radicals loose in the country, but nearly all of them are more interested in fighting Indians, or other Moslems. There are also al Qaeda and Taliban militants on the Afghan border.
