Pakistan has not only massed 70,000 police and troops along the Afghan border, but are also warning the tribes that if al Qaeda and Taliban leaders are not handed over, the Americans might enter Pakistan (illegally, of course) and work their violent magic (the commandoes, the smart bombs and night vision gear) to kill or capture the men they want. Some tribes have been threatened with attack by Pakistani troops, but other tribes fear no one but God, and maybe the commandoes (who are American, Australian, British and German).
