In Kashmir, rebel activity left two rebels dead. A large quantity of rebel weapons and munitions were seized. 

India admitted that it was very close to war with Pakistan before Pakistan agreed to stop the movement of rebels across the Kashmiri border. But India also asserted that there were at least 50 rebel camps in Pakistani Kashmir and that these must be closed down. The camps are said to house at least 3,000 militants.
