Heavy shelling across the Line of Control continues, leaving several dead and many more wounded each day. On the Afghan border, Pakistan has not withdrawn it's troops, but it has not made a move to go after Taliban or al Qaeda fighters staying in Pushtun villages in the countryside. Pakistani police have also declined to round up Taliban and al Qaeda fighters staying in other parts of Pakistan. But Pakistan has allowed Americans (FBI, special forces, CIA) to arrest al Qaeda and Taliban they find in Pakistan, as long as they invite Pakistani police along. In Kashmir, one soldier and one rebel were killed along the Line of Control.

Pakistan has test fired a third  (short range) ballistic missile.
