Kashmiri rebels set off a remote control bomb, killing six policemen and a civilian. In Bangladesh, police raided two villages near where three foreigners were kidnapped by tribal rebels. Some seventy people were arrested, many of them kin of the kidnappers. The government has threatened more police and army action if the foreigners are not released.
